We had a lot of fun this Saturday at the Garden Party, despite the stormy weather; when the rain started we were all safely inside enjoying our cake and ice cream. At least the rain held off until after a rather energetic croquet tournament. The turn-out was good, and it was nice to see all the red and white hats, and snazzy Canada Day outfits. Thanks to the volunteers and especially the Women’s Institute for the fantastic cake!
We have a couple of kid-related activities about town this summer:
1. Dundee Sports Camp (Soccer, Basket Ball, Ball Hockey)
9 – 3 on July 24 – 28, Ages 6 – 12
Information at 519-696-2462 or firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Summer Church in the park. July 30th 10:30 am ‘Kid Focussed’ church in the park featuring New Dundee’s own Paul Behnke
. Followed by Potluck BBQ (Bring salads and dessert, Burgers, Hot Dogs and drinks provided) To let us know if you are planning to come to the BBQ, please send an email to email@example.com
Our Garden Party will be held rain or shine, so bring your bonnet and join us on July 1st for some cake and tea on the lawn to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. If croquet isn’t your cup of tea, bring a ball or a bat and play your favorite game! See you at the park!
Another New Dundee Victoria Day has come and gone. The weather cooperated, so the garage sale, parade and fireworks were all successful. Below are some pictures from the day. If you have other pictures you’d like to share please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
See you next year, and don’t forget to sign up for our Victoria Day newsletter now (see the sidebar on the left of this page), so that you get advance notice of the event for next year.
